Enlarged to accommodate larger crowds at festival time, the earliest altar is maintained in a separate shrine within the main temple. You should have done me first, but you did remember. >You follow Goldenmane who just went southeast. [Temple of Apollo Musagetes, Shrine of the Pantheon] Tucked away in a corner stands an ancient altar of pink-veined marble. Long before the surrounding hillside was covered in homes, this hill provided an alternative place of worship for those who were faithful to any of the gods for whom no permanent shrine was available. When the Temple was rededicated to Apollo, this altar was placed in its own hall where it still serves its original purpose. What should have been merely a time of struggle and training Has become a desperate battle for survival beneath the cold, Dark earth." >Gabit recites: "We cannot live or grow without sipping nutrients from the soil, And along with those nutrients come the poisons that war With the pattern that lies within. We become a battleground between the pattern and the Poisons, and the pain of that battle fills our being. " >A black candle flickers with a soft shining glow. >Gabit recites: "Driven by the beauty of the pattern within, we struggle against The poisons, even though at any time could we lose the battle. Then, one day, the ground is not as cold as it was. The touch of warmth is brief, but it spurs the fight on. " >A red candle flickers with a soft shining glow. >Gabit recites: "The next day the touch is longer, and warmer. A somewhat crude terra cotta figure of Dionysus rests at the base of the altar and the top has been formed into a shallow depression made to hold offerings to the god. Also here: Llorien, Aldigold, Xxenos, Becca, Apollonius, Areseon, Alydyana, Vaage, Ingonish, Angulus, Heartsong, Gabit, Maerrie, Swifthawk, Aleister, Lindy, Surana, Posidea, Hyzenthlay, Scheherazade, Trinta, Cydara, Phalo, Greymar and Goldenmane.
